The Redbull Big Wave Africa event takes place just around from the sentinel in Dungeons - where waves up to 20ft are common in winter. In 2006 Greg Long rode the biggest wave of the year there, 64ft which won him the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Award.

excellent shot!..assuming this is a panoramic stitch? those big wave riders are nuts...not just for the massive waves but also the fact that near to dungeons is a seal colony...fav food of johhny great white. good entertainment though...when it actually happens
