Simon | August 22, 2008 8:54AM Nice street shot Craig - great capture of this young man!
Ming| August 22, 2008 9:34AM We called that "jail walking" here in Singapore. Great shot.
JSB| August 22, 2008 9:44AM Hey - that is my mate. Cheeky and missing his front teeth but a good chap all the same.
He is always trying to get a cigar off me - lol.
John Maslowski| August 22, 2008 12:44PM Interesting urban picture. Like the long perspective leading into this picture. Great composition.
Nick| August 22, 2008 1:24PM Is he usually successful? Nice colors.
Craig Wilson| August 22, 2008 1:32PM He's there all day everyday so I expect he makes a few bucks...
clarence| August 22, 2008 2:26PM Wonderful city scene captured.
Will Williams| August 22, 2008 3:25PM Looks like everyone is trying to drive around him!
sherri| August 22, 2008 3:43PM We have the same thing. Some of ours are in wheel chairs or missing a leg. Many are dressed in military clothing. Of course some are faking, but too many others are victims of circumstance and for them my heart breaks.
Terry H.| August 22, 2008 4:13PM Very interesting shot. The beggar, the people working in the background and then the people in their cars going on with their life's.
Marcie| August 22, 2008 5:03PM Nice capture! Not an easy way to feed oneself!!!
Sumedh| August 22, 2008 6:49PM Atleast that's a clean looking road! It's the same story here in New Delhi, India too. From small kids to old men; from little toddlers to pregnant women, one can easily find atleast a half a dozen beggars on Delhi's traffic lights and key intersections. Sometimes even a dozen!
2sweetnsaxy| August 22, 2008 7:14PM Interesting shot. I was going to say it's like the people here who beg on the freeway off-ramps but there's never more than one at a time.
Hilda| August 24, 2008 4:07AM The beggars in Manila are shoo-ed off major streets, and now their favorite haunts are around churches. Our street intersections are the territory of vendors — food and drinks, flowers, rag rugs, toys, cellphone battery chargers — you name it, they're probably selling it.
Oeilonirique| August 24, 2008 12:46PM He doesn't seem to take a risk to cross the street, by the view of cars attending to pass.
