This was taken with my digital compact (Kodak DX4530) about a month ago in Sloan Square. It was raining a fair bit and was a quick shot thats why its a little more blurred than I would have hoped for.
david| September 21, 2006 1:18PM i like the selective colour here - i was told once by a pro photographer that you should always include some red in a photo as it attracts the eyes into the shot!
chantal| September 21, 2006 2:35PM I love the guy on the left, looking like he's running away from the scene of a crime
Simon | September 21, 2006 2:47PM The colouring works well in this! The lady adds to this shot in so many ways as well.. umbrella up, hood up, jacket done up.. I love it!
bob| September 21, 2006 3:11PM I always love shots like this -- makes me think of moving pictures -- but without the moving part -- just gives me the feeling of movement with the isolation of color... really well done...
Stuart| September 21, 2006 3:25PM The blur makes the shot in my opinion... The guy running on the right looks as if he's either just done something dodgy, or is about to! The two guys over to the right seem to be looking at him too, which reinforces the feeling of "incident". I'm not sure about the selective colour though, the blurred guy is the subject here (in my eyes), and the selective colour is drawing me away from him. A very interesting shot with plenty to look at!
Stuart| September 21, 2006 3:26PM I meant the guy running on the left in my post above... :-)
Craig| September 21, 2006 3:28PM Interesting the way different people interpret the same image in different ways. Thanks Stewart.
Intern| September 21, 2006 3:34PM I like this photo - a rainy day on the street! very nice!
Joe| September 21, 2006 4:38PM I really like this shot, the blur, selective coor and rain all complient each other, well done
19 Seconds Of Spring| September 21, 2006 9:27PM Interesting selective desaturation... Nice street capture!

360 Pixels| September 21, 2006 10:36PM The selective coloring works well, draws the eye right in yet I do not miss the other elements, everything is holds up on its own.
armeen| September 22, 2006 2:26PM there are several stories being told in here by looking at the shot. utlimately it ends with the lady on red. i like the idea :)
Nick| September 25, 2006 5:11PM I like the motion in the picture. I gives the feeling of needing to hurry becasue of the rain. The red creates a strong focus point, and then my eye goes out from there. If this is a grab shor, well done. If intended, then also well done.
