Canon EOS 450D - Digital camera reviews

Canon in March in the UK are to release the new Canon EOS 450D, a 12.2MP move up from the 400D. There are many subtle but significant changes:

• 12.2 Mega Pixel sensor
• Full manual control of ISO of 100 - 1600
• Uses new 14-bit A/D converter, improved AF sensor (still 9-point), and DIGIC III image processor
• Can shoot at 3.5 frames/second for up to 6 RAW or 45 JPEGs
• Canon custom cleaning system
• Live view
• Compatible with Canon EF lenses
• Massive 3" LCD display (impressive)
• Uses improved LP-E5 lithium-ion battery; 500 shots per charge
• USB 2 high speed support
• Secure Digital - No longer Compact Flash
• Will start around £600 from March 2008 onwards
