When the 20D came out it was a revolutionary break through and took a step closer to briding the gap from entry level DSLR cameras to pro DSLR cameras.

The Canon 30D model is a another big step closer in bridging that gap, the 30D takes many of the outstanding features of the 20D such as the 8.2MP CMOS sensor, 5 fps, 9 point af and the same rugged alloy body.

It improves in so many areas though, LCD features, great battery life, improved ISO settings, better spot metering, twice as long shutter life and a much quieter shutter compared to the 20D:

Good points (theres alot):
  • Low noise at high ISO (up to 3200)
  • 9 point auto focus system
  • Superb photo quality from the CMOS sensor
  • Low light focusing is quick and accurate
  • Strong battery life
  • Up to 5 frames per second!
  • 0.15 Start up time
